Montana Vortex and House of Mystery
7800 Highway 2 East
Columbia Falls, MT 59912
The Montana Vortex is said to be a genuine quantum or gravitational anomaly that defies the laws of physics and nature. Perceived by many as the strongest vortex in the United States, this internationally famous sacred site is located east of Columbia Falls and west of Glacier National Park.
It’s a unique place where humans can see themselves shrink and grow and take pictures to prove it. Rated 5 Stars by Yahoo Travel Guide, it’s family fun at its best. It’s also home of the “The Golden Vortex” as seen on the History Channel.
Founded as a tourist attraction in 1970, the Montana Vortex and House of Mystery has been mystifying and exciting visitors for over forty years. Native Americans were the first to recognize this naturally occurring phenomenon and still honor it today with offerings of tobacco and sweet grass.
Open April through September, the Montana Vortex and House of Mystery features a huge gift shop, snacks, soda, and picnic spots. Kid and dog friendly, guided tours are offered daily and cameras are welcome.
